ExperienceI earned my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University, then continued on to earn my master's degree in the same subject. I am currently a doctoral student at Cornell, continuing my studies into Mechanical Engineering. I have experience tutoring students in a number of settings. I worked with students from middle school in after school programs, and also had the privilege to mentor children through the Big Brothers/ Big Sisters program. I also have experience tutoring graduate students as they studied various engineering topics. I am able to tutor students in a variety of STEM subjects, such as pretty much any math course at any age level, including advanced college courses like differential equations and linear algebra. I also have experience tutoring students in physics, which is my favorite, as well as other science and engineering subjects. I can tutor a number of AP level STEM classes, and have successfully assisted students as they prepared for standardized tests like the ACT and SAT, among others, and CLEP exams in math and science subjects. The most important thing for the students I tutor is that they have a strong foundation, and I have found it very effective to find and fill any gaps in their earlier math learning.
